New Amazon Kindles Starting at $79, Previous Gen Kindles Gets Price Cut

Today, Amazon announced a bunch of new Kindles. They are now offering three new models, all with distinct features and capabilities. The classic Kindle has been redesigned and is now 30% lighter, 18% smaller body, same 6″ screen size, built in Wi-Fi, and allows you to easily borrow Kindle books from your public library. The new Kindle Touch is 8% lighter, 11% smaller, features an advance multi-touch e-ink screen, 3G and Wifi-only variants, and also allows for borrow Kindle books from your public library. Lastly, the Kindle Fire is Amazon’s new tablet devices that runs their flavor of the Android OS. It features a 7″ 1024 x 600 IPS multi-touch display, fast dual core processor, 8GB internal memory, Wi-Fi, Amazon’s new Silk cloud-accelerated browser, Unlimited cloud storage for all Amazon content, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, and integration with Amazon services (Appstore, MP3 Store, Videos, Kindle & more). All Kindle Fire tablets come with a FREE month of Amazon’s amazing Prime Service. The Kindle Fire will ship November 15, 2011, Amazon is taking preorders today.
