Build a last-of-his-kind crusader destined to save the world from the terrible blight of the Darkspawn.
Thedas lies weakened, ripe for the Darkspawn to creep into its lands virtually unnoticed. The sinister Arch-demon is assembling minions to draw the world to the brink of destruction. The legendary Grey Wardens have served as the last line of defense for Ferelden, but after centuries with no trace of the Darkspawn, their numbers have grown dangerously sparse. The Arch-demon has slipped from the minds of the kingdom, and the conscripts of the Grey Wardens have all but disappeared. The kings of the land, distracted by the realities of civil war and internal power struggles, remain oblivious to the signs of the Blight’s return.
Choose from three races — human, elf and dwarf — and three fighting classes — warrior, rogue and mage. Your initial choices determine your outward appearance, which changes the way others perceive you. Travel from town to town, searching for traveling companions to aid in your struggle to save the countryside from the forces of evil. Your actions ultimately shape the hero you will become, as you venture through the world. You are the master of your destiny; the fate of Thedas hinges on the choices you make.

Double Flawless has Stress Baal (iTunes Link) for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad in the iTunes App Store for FREE for a limited time.
Scientific studies have probably shown that the best way to alleviate stress is to take it out on someone else. And while insulting loved ones and destroying friendships is technically free, we’re offering a nearly free alternative.
Stress Baal is a minor devil. You get to beat him up with your finger, and yes, he totally deserves it. Baal is hand animated like your favorite cartoon sponge or rabbit. Thousands upon thousands of drawings form the game. Not just a CG doll, the ever-scheming Baal has a personality. Granted, it’s a loathsome one, but a personality nonetheless. Leave him idle and the little savage will probably save you the trouble and rough himself up… Often with fire.
Futuremark Oy has Unstoppable Gorg (iTunes Link) for the iPad in the iTunes App Store and Mac in the Mac App Store for FREE (was $4.99) for a limited time.
Space. The final frontier. Also, the place where you get to blow up evil aliens for the continued glory of your star-spanning imperialist overlords.
There’s a lot to love about Unstoppable Gorg. The immediate impression is that it’s a clever parody of 1950s B-movie science fiction, complete with black and white newsreel footage and bargain basement special effects.
That space rocket soaring through the stars? It’s a toilet roll wrapped in tinfoil and suspended on a piece of string, complete with a sparkler hanging out the back.
This enticement may well be necessary to make you lower your guard and have a go at yet another tower defence game. The genre has been done to death, sure, but take the bait and you’ll find a new approach that’s actually pretty darn brilliant.
