Amazon just cut its price of the Kindle 2 US Edition to $259 with Free Shipping. The Amazon Kindle 2 is a 6 inch wireless reading device with e-ink technology that brings a paper-like display with 16 shades of gray for clear text and even crisper image. It comes inclusive with integrated 3G wireless in the US that allows access to over 300,000 books plus U.S. and international newspapers, magazines, and blogs. It can store up to 1,500 books and can support a number of file formats.

Amazon are also taking Pre-orders for their new Kindle 2 International Edition for $279 with Free Shipping. The International Edition is identical to the Kindle 2 US Edition with the addition support Kindle Book purchases outside of the US in over 100 countries. The Amazon Kindle 2 International Edition is scheduled to be released on October 19, 2009.
