Amazon is offering its Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Smart Speaker in charcoal, grey, sandstone, or plum for $4.99 when you subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited for a limited time. Amazon Music Unlimited costs $7.99 per month for Prime members and $9.99 for non-Prime customers, so if you subscribe for one month, you could be all in for as low as $12.98. This offer is only available to new Echo device customers only.
The Amazon Music Unlimited offers streaming of tens of millions of songs on any of your compatible devices.
The Echo Dot is a hands-free, voice-controlled device that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, set alarms, and more. It is capable of controlling lights, fans, switches, thermostats, garage doors, sprinklers, and more with compatible connected devices from WeMo, Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, Nest, ecobee, and others. It is equipped with far-field microphones and a voice recognition processor for hands-free control, even in noisy environments or while playing music from across the room. It now includes a much louder built-in speaker so it can work on its own as a smart alarm clock in the bedroom, an assistant in the kitchen, or anywhere you might want a voice-controlled computer but you can also connect it to larger speakers if you want better sound.
