The Sonos Beam is a compact smart TV soundbar with Amazon Alexa voice control built-in. It is specially tuned by Oscar-winning sound engineers to emphasize the sound of the human voice. It features 5 drivers, support for Apple’s AirPlay 2, night mode, and works over HDMI ARC. The Playbar is a more powerful but less connected soundbar. It features 9 drivers for a more powerful sound and runs over optical audio but does not have Amazon Alexa built-in or support AirPlay.
