The Free companion and full fare passenger must travel together, reserve in the same reservation and in the same room if applicable. This offer is valid for travel on all long-distance trains except the Auto Train in all services except business class. The companion is subject to the same restrictions and conditions as the full fare passenger. Tickets have to be purchased before January 12, 2020, for travel between February 1, 2020, and June 12, 2020. Amtrak is offering special pricing for some of its routes and there’re some blackout dates between April and May.
